Another, Moors Landing, is located in Howell but has a Freehold mailing address. Three other complexes, Briarwood West, Patriots Pointe and Kingsley Square, are located in Freehold Boro.  There are 2 Adult Communities in Howell, The Villages  and  Surrey Downs,  that have Freehold mailing addresses, and a manufactured home Adult Community called Silvermead in Freehold. All homes in Freehold township send school age children to the Freehold Township school system for grades K-8, homes in Howell send their children to the Howell school system, grades K-8. consists of 6 high schools - Freehold, Manalapan, Marlboro,  Freehold Township, Howell and Colts Neck. Children usually attend the closest high school -  most of East Freehold will attend Freehold High School, most of the southern end of Freehold Twp will attend Freehold Twp., as will the northern section of Howell.

Each high schools has a specialized Learning Center for highly motivated and talented students, who are all are eligible for enrollment through a  competitive admission process . The curriculums at the Specialized Learning Centers are:

       Freehold Township - animal and botanical sciences academy, global issues

       Howell  - humanities, performing and fine arts academy

       Marlboro - business administration

       Freehold - medical sciences, culinary arts/hospitality management academy and a computer science academy

      Manalapan - science and engineering, law enforcement and public safety academies and automotive technology

      Colts Neck - a Navy JROTC character and leadership development academy, law and public service

At all of the high schools, SAT scores consistently exceed state and national averages, and more than 87 percent of the district's students pursue higher education.
